About Steve

In 2009, I became Medicare Man. My precious mother mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s/Dementia. I was (33) years old, and almost overnight, my life changed drastically. My wife and I became her primary family caregivers. Through this experience, we created a village and learned to work together. The most bewildering part was learning how to navigate the insurance and financial angles of a chronic disease. I took that on and learned how to help my mom reorganize her financial affairs so she could survive. I intentionally learned about insurance. My mom was (66) years old. I quickly learned everything about Medicare; supplemental insurance; and the important difference between HMO’s, PPO’s and Medicare Supplement plans for seniors. I learned how to find balance between the financial costs and benefit differences of each type of insurance. Being good at understanding it became my passion so I could help my mom access the best group of doctors based on her needs. Realizing that I now was equipped professionally to help others evolved as more and more people tapped into my experiences and knowledge for their families
